Happy Birthday Jared

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JARED.

At least when you say "40" in connection with
your birthday, the next question is not A.D. or
B.C. ?

KEEP WRITING AND KEEP RIDING, THE WORLD
IS BETTER BECAUSE YOU DO.

Happy Birthday, Jared!!!!!!!

Is it possible that it's been 40 years since that day in
Twin Falls? Or could this just be an April Fools Joke?
We have loved having you in our family and especially
seeing you grow and accomplish great things. You are
an awesome Dad to your children and I know Shana
appreciates all that you do as well. You have brought
a lot of enjoyment to Aggie fans, especially this winter,
as a writer and it hardly seems possible that you are
just as a ccomplished as a rider. I don't know how many
actual miles you have put in on the bike, but anyone
who can ride 206 miles in one day is a stud, "that's all
I've got to say about that", to quote Forrest Gump. Keep
on keeping on. You are an inspiration to us all and it
sounds like you might have some Eborn company on
the LOTOJA 2009. Most importantly enjoy life, and
be careful so you can enjoy it for many years to come.

We love you and wish you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY,

NO FOOLING!!!!!!

Springtime in the Rockies

The calendar says Spring is just around the corner.

Last Saturday's snow storm gave some reason to doubt.

These first two pictures were taken on my walk along the
Logan River last Saturday morning.

This morning the same walk yielded this hopeful sign
of better, though not necesssarily more beautiful things
to come. "Take what comes and love it." The way I've
got it figured out, the one who controls the elements
knows a lot more about it than I do. So who am I to
whine over a few snowflakes.

Kids and Fat Ducks

Saturday is a special day. It's the day we feed the ducks.

Now there's three cute little Eborns. I had a chane to
spend a few hours with Justin and Chalisa's kids today.
I think they were glad to get out in the sunshine and
fresh air and I was glad to be with them.

Yes, Ethan is still in his terrible twos, or is that more like
Second Grade? They are all such fun to be with.

Only problem is the ducks are are all getting to be obese.
It seems like feeding the ducks at First Dam is a pretty
popular winter time activity around these parts. It will
soon be spring though. The signs are in the air. Thanks
Justin and Chalisa for letting me borrow your angels for a bit.

Popcorn Popping

POPCORN POPPING ?????????????
We've actually been awaiting a little different version of
popcorn popping on the apricot tree, but who can deny
any of the beauties of Springtime in the Rockies?

It Aint Over 'Till It's Over

We're both getting older but we are not done yet. River
was about done for a month ago, but now with a little TLC
and a package of wieners a day he's doing better. We went
for a long walk on Saturday and we both enjoyed it. He's
been a very good friend for almost twelve years now. I've
always said, I don't want to go to hell for the way I treat
my dog, so I guess I'd better treat him as he treats me.
Otherwise, he may be coming down to see me in one of the
lower kingdoms and he would.

The Birthday Kids, March 7th

Two of our favorite people are celebrating their birthdays
today, March 7th.

We wish Addison and Rene a very happy
birthday and the best of everything in life
today and always.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BOTH OF
YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe Addison is thirteen years old? Time flies.
We consider ourselves very blessed to call Addison our
grandson. Hopefully the old saying about teenagers going
brain dead for a while doesn't happen to him. I'm sure it
wont. We love you, Addison, and are very proud of you.
Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could n't find a picture of Rene by herself. I suppose
that's because she is always with someone and bringing
smiles to their faces and showing her love for them.

Happy birthday, Rene. We can't begin to tell you how
much you mean to us and how happy we are that you are
a part of a forever family of which we also are blessed to
be a part. Here's hoping you have a wonderful birthday
and know how much we love you. Happy Birthday, We
hope you can celebrate "number 29" many, many more
times.

Kid Watching

We have been blessed with the opportunity to stay
with the Daugs' kids while Ammon and Alison were
cruising in Mexican waters and enjoying the high life.
I think we had just about as much fun as they did.
The kids are no problem at all, very obedient and full
of love. What more could we ask?

Avery and Ada leaving home for school.

It seems like there is a beautiful view from the Daugs'
home no matter what the weather.

Avery and Ada about to board their bus for school.

But before the bus gets here there is time to kick a few
rocks into the ditch.

Anything Avery can do Ada can do too.
