Last Saturday we had a little get-together over at Reed and Lorraine's home at Bear Lake West. All of my siblings were there. It was good to see them and enjoy a little time together. We had a great meal and always enjoy the wonderful views from their place. Reed and Lorraine truly live in a gorgeous place, especially at this time of the year when the leaves are putting on their autumn colors. I want to go back through Logan Canyon and then hike along the ridge above Bear Lake west and on to the South in about a week when the colors are at their peak. It is truly a magnificent sight. I'll send a few pictures (imagine that) later. I hope the skies are clear with just a few fluffy clouds floating on the horizon. Am I picky or what?
Yesterday, I went over to Montpelier to do a little yard work and a small repair job on the carport roof at the house. The sale looks like it's still a go, though we haven't signed the papers or recieved payment. I wont count my chickens until they are hatched, but we are encouraged. They are even tearing down one of the homes to make room for the new business which will be involved in the 1031 exchange of which the sale of our home is a part. I'll miss the place. The people up there have had a big impact in our lives and the lives of our family.
